Simon has 35 years of experience in building and construction working in a variety of trades, both in Australia and the United States. He spent several years working as a handyman and painter for a large property development company. To name just one project, at the age of 23 he became foreman running large crews for huge projects such as Stratosphere Tower in Las Vegas. His troubleshooting skills and impeccable eye for detail have brought him such clients as Andre Agassi and Brooke Shields.  

After 10 years in the States, Simon returned to Sydney with his family. In 1999 he established Painting Australia, an award-winning residential and commercial painting company. Still ‘on the tools’ and running his business gives Simon credibility when problem solving for the general public and it enables him to be up-to-date with current practices and products.  

He has worked on everything ranging from metal framing, gyprocking, tiling, maintenance, repairs, through to painting and carpentry. He even has a flair when it comes to colour consulting. This was evident when a property Simon worked on received the award for Best Residential Interior Design and Best use of Colour from the NSW Building Designers Association.  

Simon has been called upon to provide advice and expertise when others have hit a roadblock. No matter what the job is, Simon is the perfect person to consult for his practical, do-it-yourself solutions. With his broad knowledge of renovation, he simply enjoys the challenge.
