A Hammer thats right for YOU

Out of all the hand tools in a basic toolbox, I think a claw hammer is one that you’ll use most often.

Not only for pounding and removing nails, but lots of other jobs around the home.  That’s why it’s important to choose a good quality one that will last.

Hammers have come a long way since the days of a lump of steel and a timber handle. They come in different weights and bigger is NOT always better!  Get one that’s a comfortable weight for you, no point in getting one that you need two hands to lift!

Fibreglass or graphite handles are good because they’re shock resistant.

A little trick when hammering a small nail is to hold the nail with a pair of pointy pliers or even a fine tooth comb. That way you don’t whack your fingers.

Remember to always keep your tools locked away from the kids.
