My window cleaning recipe

This tried and tested recipe was given to me last year by a professional window cleaner. It has been very popular and everyone raves about it! It combines all the ingredients that are essential in achieving squeaky clean windows.

Combine the following
• ½ Teaspoon of liquid dishwashing detergent
• 1 Cup of methylated spirits
• 1 Tablespoon white vinegar
• 1 Teaspoon cloudy ammonia
• 1 Litre of water

The liquid detergent will lift off all the dirt and grime. Methylated Spirits is a very versatile cleaning product and an important ingredient in window cleaning as it evaporates quickly and prevents streaking.  The vinegar works as a cutting agent and gets rid of any oils and residue left from fingerprints, cooking, etc. Finally the cloudy ammonia leaves your windows sparkling and squeaky clean!
